Planes and monkeys

10 hour flight to Dublin. Stop for refuel, crew change and to gain some new passengers. We spend quite a while on the tarmac due to "weather in European airways".  7 hour flight to Addis Ababa. I mostly slept, Joe mostly watched parts of things on the screen.

We had 2 hours less in Addis Ababa due to the European airways. To go out to the store/restaurant part of the airport we had to go through security. We didn't have enough time nor were we particularly hungry so we waited.

And then we waited on the flight as well, for nearly an hour. (We also loaded and unloaded on tarmac, which was a new one for Joe).  We finally arrived at 1pm sunday in Entembee(we left sfo at 6pm friday).  The hotel sent a car.

The hotel was so welcoming. But we were both beat. We didn't resist a nap. Our goal was to make it until 8pm.  Ate on the lake for dinner. I had goat stew, Joe had lemon grass tilapia in banana leaves. (I fell asleep sitting up a few brief times).  We were in bed before 7pm.

But there were monkeys. So many monkeys on the street. They were so cute.
