Road trip to krakow

Our final day in poland. I awoke in warsaw with a headache so I slept longer then I intended. When we finally descended, the temperature had dropped nearly 30 degrees (f)!!  Alas, it was raining so our ideas of going to willanow (Versailles of poland) were dashed. Also, due to my headache we missed our opportunity to go to the gestapo hq.

We drove for a bit and got out in lodz, a town known for its textiles that was also affected by the war. They have the longest pedestrian street in europe. So we walked it. Some of it at least. We need to keep up our step count, especially on the days when we are car bound.

Speaking of I suggested to my dad that maybe we return the car early (since it can only be returned in krakow) and train the rest of the way. This created a multistage process where we had to first decide if it was cheaper than the car (provided we get our money back), then if the timing was feasible, then the extras, like having to get back and forth to the train station/changing hotels of necessary etc and then finally of it was worth the luxury of having our own wheels. We got to stage 2 and gave up the search.

We arrived back in krakow and went to see if we could watch a movie and eat. The only option was McDonald's. We opted not to do the movie so we could call the family, but alas, the phone did not function properly. It makes a much better computer than a phone anyways.
