The luxurious standard we had started growing accustom to on our flight to and bus ride from Singapore came to an abrupt end on our bus ride from Malacca to Kuala Lampur. Not only did we have little leg room but for some reason we got seats in different aisles. I know I know woe is us. Also, we started the day getting a Malay couple's massage, so there's that too.
We awoke at 9am or so to get some breakfast. We also had to pack up knowing our 1030am massage was cutting it close to checkout time of noon and our bus at 1 that was leaving from central station 15 minutes away. Breakfast again was the same mix of a la carte and buffet and man do I love a salad bar.
Our massage was incredible. They even had a flower floating in a bowl below our heads so wed have something lovely to look at. It was chiefly back and feet(and in my limited experience that's the best kind). We finished at 1151 and the anxiety started building. Would we make it on time? Did we remember everything? Would it all go well?
Other than the mix up in seats and a more standard bus than we have been used to, everything of course was fine and we arrived at our new hotel in KL. Our room, on the 11th floo . The pool, on the 24th! But its spacious and lovely!!
We were hungry so we did a little research and found other Michelin star places to check out(the website lists 7 but many of them are satalites of the restaurant that earned it not the restaurant itself). We found ourselves in a 7 floor mall in order to get this dim sum place with touted soup dumplings.
They were delicious, as was everything else. 5 plates, $35. And to top it off Joe got chrysanthemum tea! Apparently his fave(learning so much about him on this trip...)
After a little more walking around, happening upon the KL times square we headed back to determine the tours we were planning and to hit up the pool. We had four nights here, which equates to 3 full days. We got recs from friends and the internet and for the first time in quite a while really struggled what to do and how. Luckily, we were able to struggle while sitting in chairs designed to be partly in the pool!!
I fell asleep back down in our room, before we were able to make any real decision.
